Bay Area Economic Survey, March 2016

Bay Area residents are confident in the state of their local economy and its future growth, according to a new survey by Charles Schwab.

Of 1,000 Bay Area area residents surveyed, 70 percent believe the local economy is performing better than the national economy, and eight out of ten (79 percent) say the area is continuing to get more prosperous. Although they are optimistic about the local economy, they are less pleased with the cost of living. Nearly all (86 percent) believe the cost of living in the Bay Area is unreasonable.
